Degeneration was inspired by the imposing Dun Telve broch near Glenelg on the west coast of Scotland. Neglected for centuries, the ruin reinforces the notion of beauty in ageing. The sculpture is made up of curved steel mosaics encasing a seam of red highly plasticised pvc.
Degeneration was selected for the 125th annual exhibition of the Paisley Art Institute 2013 and the Royal Scottish Academy of Art and Architecture open exhibition 2014.
